The 248th Day of 2015 was truly historic (in a sports rivalry sense). For the first time since 1941, the Temple Owls beat the Penn State Nittany Lions, on 9/5/2015. And I have connections to BOTH schools. People I know and love work there and Sarah's dad is a huge fan, and thus, so am I. Sarah works at Temple, my Dad used to teach there, and tons of friends are students, alumns, or work (or worked) there. So through all these connections, I was trying to cheer for both sides, but you cannot help but feel badly for PSU and great for Temple and its fans. And then, after the game, was witness to the power of connections from those we do not know as we needed a jump in the lot to get the van started and many people (from BOTH fan bases and the Phila. Police) were willing to help!
