Sunday 9/6/2015 started off in Church. And the 249th day of 2015 was also Labor Day Sunday. So, of course, it was the Walters' Family Seafood Picnic and that was an amazing day filled with food, family, and fun. But the sermon this morning was about being open to helping others, even when it seems that resources are scarce (time, talent, and treasure), and I really connected to that. This quote I connect with as well. Rule #1 in our family has always been to help people, not hurt people, and I feel that this quote AND the sermon this morning both have a similar message. We must be open to connect to people and ascertain their needs and assist them to obtain those needs when possible. It is what I think I have tried to do my whole life, and it has been connecting and rewarding.
