Gary Clinton: Connecting with Heart and Soul

The 316th day of 2015, 11/12/15, ended emotionally for me.  After a day of productive meetings at work, I was honored and blessed to be in the audience at the retirement ceremony of one of my dear friends and colleagues, Dean Gary Clinton.  And it was amazing to see the connection that the Law School has to Gary and the connection that he has to the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the School.  I have to admit, when listening to some of the stories of how Gary connected with these students, often in their greatest times of need, it made me tear up.  The presenters continuously stated that Gary was the heart and soul of the Law School and it is obvious to me that he used his heart and his soul to connect with over 11,000 students in his career at Penn.  Penn Law will miss him, Penn will miss him, _I_ will MISS HIM....but we all wish him the best in retirement.  Gary's in the Penn Law DNA...so his legacy will live on!
