We spent the evening of the 275th day of 2015 back in school. Because 10/2/2015 was the first OMAYSC Gym Night of the school year. And it was great to see the kids stream in to the gym (all 85! of them) and connect with their friends. Early attendees coming out to greet their classmates with a high five or a hug. And I could not help but stop and think as I no longer have some of the youngest kids in the group. I saw counselors that used to be the excited fourth graders connect with fourth graders that used to be babies in the strollers during dropoff. Just another reminder of the passage of time and the fact that my years with kids in this amazing school are limited. After a lunch today with college friends that also reminded me of my own growing up, it was a nice connection.
