Connected to the Memories of....

Day #53, 2/22/15, is ending with us watching the Oscars.  And, just as I did in the Grammy Awards Ceremony, I find myself tearing up during the In Memoriam section of the show.  As the faces and names come up on the screen (some I know and others I do not), I find myself connected to the works that they shared with us, music, movies, comedy, poetry, and I connect to the memories of when I experienced them for the first time.  I also appreciate those who can cross over and be mentioned in the Grammy and Oscar Ceremonies (this year I believe that was Robin Williams and Maya Angelou). I know many of these performers and contributors were compensated well for their works, but their genius left an indelible mark on our memories and, thus, our lives.  Connections that live on, even after they are gone (but not forgotten!)
