21st Century Connections
Day #57 of 2015 ended at home, with all of the family on some sort of technology. And, on 2/26/15, I was amazed at the way connectivity has changed our lives. Alexa and her friend were on the computer, working on a collaborative document project together (in person at least) and using the Internet for research. Anna was on her tablet, working on another collaborative document with her friend, who was on her laptop in her own house across town. But they were not working in the same place, but they could still see each other as they Facetimed on their iPads to get the assignment done. Sarah was connecting with the day's news on Facebook, and I was on Skype, conducting Penn Alumni Interviews of prospective students for the Class of 2019. Oh how the world has changed in the 25 years since I was applying to Penn.......and oh how it will change in the future. Exciting stuff.
